Q - question

Move attributes in multiple blocks.
A - answer If you need to move (change position) attributes in multiple blocks (references), you can use several methods:

  • For uniform moving of attributes in all instances (references) of a given block by a given distance (offset), you can change directly the definition of the specified block (BEDIT) - move the attribute in the Block editor.
  • If the attribute position is not locked (see Properties) and the GRIPBLOCK variable is on, you can edit the attribute position interactively - using grip-edit (blue squares after mouse-selection).
  • To change the attribute position in a single block or a couple of blocks, use the older editing command -ATTEDIT. Choose the "Individual" option, confirm the block selection options, pick the edited attributes and use the pos option to move the attribute(s) to the new position. Finish the command.
  • For an easy change of attribute position in multiple blocks you can use the LISP utility CADstudio MoveAtt which allows to select a group of blocks and specify a move vector. You can download the free application MoveAtt from Download. Load it with APPLOAD and start the MoveAtt command.
