How to label an area in AutoCAD LT (or isolate layer, or dim arc length...)?

A - answer Functions for area labels (acreage), dimensioning of arc length, displaying (textual) point coordinates in the drawing; many enhanced layer functions (freeze by pick, isolate layer, delete layer...), autonumbering and other tools are available in LT Extension - a productivity add-on tool by XANADU (CAD Studio), compatible with AutoCAD LT98, LT2000, LT2000i, LT2002.
