Q - question

License error [1.1.20] trying to run AutoCAD or LT 2004.

A - answer This error is occurring on Windows XP PCs with Service Pack 1 where an application using an older version of SafeCast license manager (e.g. TurboTax) is already installed.
  1. Search the \Windows directory for the file CdaC14BA.dll
  2. If the file is present uninstall AutoCAD 2004, delete the CdaC14BA.dll file in the Windows directory and reinstall your CAD product
The error only occurs if the CdaC14BA.dll is present during the installation of an AutoCAD 2004 based Software Locked product. If the dll is recreated by the third party application after installation the error will not occur.
Don't forget to switch off antivirus software during installation.
