Q - question

How to place text in a rendered AutoCAD drawing?

A - answer Add a small thickness to your text (SHX) - it will be rendered. Or render to a raster file, insert it as a picture and add normal text.

AutoCAD 2004 (and higher) can print rendered viewports directly so you can easily add text in paperspace.
