Q - question

How to automate saving individual layouts to separate .DWG drawing files?

A - answer Your individual layouts can be merged or converted to the modelspace (and then saved to .dwg) using the LAYOUTMERGE tool from Express Tools. To automate this export using a script or menu macro use the commandline version -LAYOUTMERGE.

Always work on a copy of your original drawing.
