How to deselect grips using a toolbar or mouse button?

A - answer To simulate the ESC key (for removing grip selection) use the following toolbar or CUI macro for a ribbon icon or mouse-button combination:
^C^C(sssetfirst)(redraw);
or just:
'ID;;
or:
^C^CAI_DESELECT;
You can also deselect grips by long right-click.
