Q - question

How to convert an Inventor part or assembly to an AutoCAD 3D block (DWG)?

A - answer For simple conversion of Autodesk Inventor 3D models to DWG blocks you can use the function Application > AEC Exchange > Save as DWG solids (make sure the module is loaded - Tools > Add-ons: "Autodesk AEC Exchange"). In the ribbon UI you can find it under: Environment > AEC Exchange > Save as DWG solids

On DWG export of your parts you can choose the AutoCAD 2010 format, 2007 format or 2006 (2004) format. In AutoCAD (in .DWG), the model will be represented by a 3D solid block.

For other file converters see the function Export.
