Q - question

How to merge two Revit template files?

A - answer You can use several methods to transfer (export) some families and settings from one Revit template to another.
  • Drawn elements from a project based on the template #1 can be copied to a drawing (project) based on the template #2 and then save it as a new template
  • Requested families can be saved individually to RFA files (and then loaded ion the second template) - either by right-clicking in the project browser (and Save) or with "File > Save to Library > Save family"
  • Used families can be transferred with the function "File > Load into Projects"
  • Advanced options for transferring settings between two projects or empty projects (templates) can be found in "File > Transfer Project Standards"
