Q - question

How to reset the "Total editing time" in an AutoCAD DWG drawing?

A - answer In every AutoCAD DWG file there is n automatic counter of cumulative total time spent on editing of that particular drawing in AutoCAD. The information - "Total editing time" - is then displayed in the TIME command.

This counter cannot be normally stopped or reset (cleared). But if you want reset this time for any reason, you can use the following method.

First save your current drawing (to be reset). Use the NEW command to start a new drawing. On the "Select template" prompt switch from the DWT to the DWG type and choose your previously saved drawing. Using these steps you will start editing of a new drawing (with the time cleared) containing complete data from your original DWG drawing.

See JobTime for more advanced and automatic job time tracking in AutoCAD.
