Q - question

AutoCAD: Do you really want to do this?

A - answer AutoCAD may display the "Do you really want to do this" prompt if you are trying to hatch or manipulate a large set of objects on screen. You may also have used an xref as a hatch boundary - and the xref file may be damaged (try Audit) or it contains unresolved proxy objects.

A similar message (alert box) is: "Hatch object limit exceeded: More than 10000 hatch boundary objects are selected. Creating this hatch object can be time consuming. Do you want to proceed?". This one is caused by a very large object (entities) count on screen when picking a point in the BHATCH command. Try object selection or zoom closer to the hatched area.
