Q - question

How to switch AutoCAD 2009 back to the original UI with pull-down menus?

A - answer AutoCAD 2009 and LT 2009 starts by default with the new user interface (UI) utilizing the Ribbon. If you prefer to revert back to the classic interface, you can close the ribbon (the RIBBONCLOSE command) and enable the pull-down menus - set the MENUBAR variable to 1.

You can achieve similar results also by switching your workspace to the predefined status "AutoCAD Classic" (with the WSCURRENT variable or by clicking on the gear icon on the right side of the bottom status line).
