Q - question

How to generate Piranesi EPix files from AutoCAD and 3ds Max?

A - answer EPIX format files for the 3D illustration software Piranesi (Informatix) can be saved from AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, Civil 3D, Autodesk VIZ or 3ds Max. For this export you can use the plug-in modules available on the Piranesi web - plug-ins.

EPix files can be directly exported from Autodesk Navisworks.

Another option is to use the Vedute (IIRC) viewer distributed with Piranesi, as this application can convert DXF and 3DS files to Piranesi EPix and EPix panorama files (.EPX, .EPP).
