Q - question

How to get XYZ coordinates of a point on an Inventor assembly?

A - answer To display 3D coordinates of a given point on a part or an assembly in Inventor, use the function "Measure Distance".

Select Tools > Measure Distance and pick the requested point on the model. The dialog displays its coordinates X, Y, Z.

Display coordinates

For a relative offset of coordinates in an assembly, right-click on the given part in the assembly tree and choose Properties. On the Occurrence tab, you will see the XYZ offsets of the part origin in the parent assembly.

For batch export of coordinates and coordinate transformations you can use Inventor API. See e.g. Lesson 17 in Inventor programming.
