Select map features OUTSIDE the selected polygon in Map 3D.

A - answer If you need to select only the objects outside the marked polygon from the connected data source in AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D in the "View Manager" (Tools > Search and select elements), add the logical operator NOT ("without") before the standard function "Find on map > Inside > Polygon" - see the picture:
