Q - question

Selection cycling is not working in TRIM/EXTEND.
A - answer Higher versions of AutoCAD (2015+) may not handle properly your object selection in crowded areas - selection cycling in overlapping objects - when using the TRIM and EXTEND commands.

In this case disable (uncheck) the mode "Command preview" in Options > Selection, resp. set the variable COMMANDPREVIEW to 0.
