Q - question

Setting the mouse wheel zoom factor in Inventor.

A - answer Similar to the ZOOMFACTOR variable in AutoCAD which influences the zooming speed (intensity) of your mouse wheel, Autodesk Inventor also offers such setting.

This setting is stored in the Registry and its name is "Wheel Zoom Speed". To change this value, exit Inventor, run Regedit.exe and in the tree branch HKCU\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersionXX.0\System\Preferences\Display (XX=14 for Inventor 2010, XX=15 for Inventor 2011, XX=16 for Inventor 2012) set the value of the key Wheel Zoom Speed.

The default value is 1. Lower values slow down zooming, higher values speed id up. A convenient setting is e.g 0.5. After this change restart Inventor.
