Q - question

Slow properties window when picking a dimension.

A - answer On some computers, AutoCAD reacts slowly (about 1 sec delay) on a picked dimension object. This is caused by a problem with displaying graphics in the Properties palette.

Close (collapse using the arrow on the right) the section "Lines and arrows" in the Properties window - this will remove the delays. This setting (will be stored) has to be done for all types of dimension objects (linear, angle, radius...).

Another alternative is to use the Quick properties window.
