Sol2SolH - convert DWG objects of the type Solid to Hatches

Using the freeware utility Sol2SolH you can bulk convert Solid (2D) drawing objects to single-color solid Hatches with the same geometry, color, and layer.

Download the VLX file of this add-on from Download, load it into your AutoCAD with APPLOAD and start it by typing the SOL2SOLH command. Then select the Solids to convert.

This conversion can be useful for converting a DWG drawing to various GIS applications, SVGs, and other utilities that do not understand the problematic 2D Solid objects. You can also more easily identify areas and perimeters of planar objects represented by Solids, more easily modify their shape, or explode them into their outlines.
