Some Map commands not running in Civil 3D (cannot initialize dialog box, other errors)

Some map-commands (e.g. MAPTRIM, MAPBREAK, MAPCLPLINE, ADEQUERY, MAPWSACTION, MAPTHMOBJ, MAPTHEMTOPO) do not work in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 or they behave in a non-standard way (report "cannot initialize dialog box", Internal error, etc.).

Please check the support patch setting in AutoCAD (the Options command). This problem is most probably caused by a missing patch in C3D Options. Add the following new path in the dialog Options > Files > Support file search path:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\Map\Support\en-US

(or de-DE, fr-FR ...)
