Stereoscopic view modes in Autodesk VRED.

Similarly to e.g. Autodesk 3ds Max Ext.1 or Autodesk Showcase, also the application Autodesk VRED (Pi-Vr) offers a set of tools for stereoscopic display of 3D CAD models. These tools allow to show your 3D model (prototype) in a more compelling spatial representation - either using anaglyphs, or in sterescopic views employing 3D glasses, 3D monitors or 3D beamers (projectors).

You can find the Stereo mode options in the menu Visualization > Stereo:

This menu offers the following modes:

Double buffered: rendering with double-buffers for stereo-viewing in OpenGL modes - when supported by your graphics card
Horizontal interlaced: stereo-rendering with horizontal interlacing (left/right eye)
Vertical interlaced: stereo-rendering with vertical interlacing (left/right eye)
Left/Right split: the render-view is split into two areas - the left half displays a view for the left eye, the right half draws a view for the right eye
Top/Bottom split: the render-view is split into two areas - the top half displays a view for the left eye, the bottom half draws a view for the right eye
Red/Cyan: anaglyph stereo-view in the most common combination of red/cyan (paper glasses)
Blue/Yellow: anaglyph stereo-view in the combination of blue/yellow
Green/Magenta: anaglyph stereo-view in the combination of green/magenta
Left eye: displays only the view for left eye
Right eye: displays only the view for left eye
Tridelity Multi-View: special multi-view rendering mode Tridelity (five views) for the active stereo monitors Tridelity or compatible hardware

The option "Stereo settings" allows to set the eye distance or the parallax of 3D view.
