Q - question

What is the "at" sign (@) leading some font names in AutoCAD?

A - answer AutoCAD displays (e.g. in the Text style dialog) some font names with the "@" sign. So these fonts are sorted on top of the font list.

The leading character "@" by TrueType (TTF) fonts indicates that this font was designed for vertical texts (e.g. for asian languages). Texts written in this font will be automatically rotated 270 degrees.

The usage is similar to the option "Vertical" available for some SHX fonts.
