What is the Linked account in your Autodesk Account profile?

After you log in to your Autodesk Account, you can see the tab "Linked accounts" in the section PROFILE - what is it for and how can I link my accounts?

The section "Linked account" lists your accounts on social networks and web-authentication services, which you have used in the past to log in to one of Autodesk web services and the linked it to your "Autodesk ID". Some Autodesk apps and services requiring login do offer - besides the standard Autodesk ID - also a login method employing external providers, typically social networks. Some examples of such apps are: the Autodesk Apps store, the applications Meshmixer and TinkerCAD.

The option "SOCIAL PROVIDER" brings you to a list of currently supported authentication partners - Facebook, Google+, Yahoo, Twitter, LinkedIn, Microsoft Live.

After you log in using your account on one of these social networks and after you approve that Autodesk can read your e-mail address, you can also link this particular account with you existing Autodesk ID. And these linked accounts can be then managed in the section "Linked accounts" (you can unlink the account/revoke your approval).
