Q - question

When attempting to print, my PC fails to BSOD with APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

A - answer After applying the latest Windows updates, my AutoCAD crashes when trying to print - Windows fail up to blue screen with the error (stop code) APC_INDEX_MISMATCH in the module win32kfull.sys.

The printing problem from applications is caused by the Windows Update (hotfix) KB5000802 (or KB5000808 if you have Windows 10 version 1909, or KB5000822 for Win10 1809). Until Microsoft fixes this error, uninstall this hotfix. Run the command window CMD.exe as Administrator (search for cmd, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator").

In the command window the type the command:

wusa /uninstall /kb:5000802

and confirm it. Pause future Windows updates for about 7 days.

UPDATE: Microsoft has released the hotfix KB5001567 (so far only as out-of-band), which solves this problem. UPDATE: The latest Windows Update fixes this collision with print drivers
