Good Morning,

I recently started working for a new company. Currently I am
the only CAD Technologist. I’ve come here right out of school and continually am
trying to self-learn CAD beyond the college course learnings.

My CAD background is Architecture, but this is a Civil
Company so I am learning Civil 3D 2013 and MAP 3D 2013.

Today I am trying to upload a .shp file along with WMS.

They are not lining up. I’ve set the Co-ordinates to what
they should be. This is the first time I’ve tried to use Map 3D.

Could somebody help me out in figure out how to get these 2
aligned? And/or point out if I’m missing something?

Thank you very much !

No reply I see.  Try over at a website called CADTutor.  Tell my twin brother ReMark I said "hello".

Quiet, JC: it's not nice to forward to other websites, since here we have all the skills to solve the issue...
@ caitycoates15The WMS does not align to the shape probably because they belong to different CRS: please copy and paste here the WMS address, and some lines from that shapefile, thx.

I'd call that a delayed response.  Some people need help sooner.  I took a calculated risk figuring if I could send the OP somewhere they might get more eyes on their question and possibly receive an answer sooner rather than later he/she will remember that at least someone tried to help them in some small way and return the next time they have a problem just the same.  I've lost count of the number of people I have told to come here to find tips, tricks, and blocks.  Should I have not done that?  It works both ways my friend.

Well, if some people are in a hurry, they'd better call their own Autodesk dealer, or knock on Facebook door...I guess an answer given in the first 24 hours is definitely NOT delayed, sir.:)

Depends on how quickly you need a solution to the problem.I've never called my AutoDesk dealer to ask how to do something in AutoCAD.  I find all my solutions online.
