SketchUp Blocks are large.  .DWG Blocks created by SketchUp are huge.  Is there a - what's the best - way to convert a SketchUp Block to .DWG?  AutoCAD?  Or ...

You can export from Sketchup Pro in either DWG or DXF file format.

Yes, I can do that.  HAVE done that.  But the Blocks - I"m using S/U PRO - they're more-than-huge.Granted, that AutoCAD is *better* than is SketchUP.  Granted, that AutoCAD saves .DWG Blocks efficiently - with/in a (relatively) very small size. (Granted also that similar Blocks from, say, Revit (and Inventor?) are smaller, even smaller yet.) Granted, that SketchUp Blocks, when ***saved as .DWG Blocks***, are very, very large - in fact, huge!Question:  Is there a way - which software should I use - to convert these SketchUp Blocks into small .DWG Blocks (as 'small', more or less, as if these Blocks had originally been created in/under AutoCAD, or Revit [or perhaps Inventor])?You guys/gals know A LOT more than I do, and I appreciate your insight(s), your help.Thanks.Mark.

How huge is huge?  What is a typical file size? What if you exploded the block then ran the OVERKILL command on it?  Does that reduce the file size?I don't know of any magic AutoCAD command that will instantaneously reduce the size of a block brought in from Sketchup.

Upload one of these DWG blocks created by Sketchup so we have something to play with.
