So I'm taking the jump from 2007 straight to 2011.  I did a little bit of time freelancing for a company that had 2010.  So I'm a little familiar with some of the fancy new logos but there seem to be more and more things displaced.  Things I've been using for years that are now suddenly quite different, un-findable under the new menu structure and frankly irritating.  Seriously folks I'm looking through the help file to figure out how to change units n a drawing..  this is sad.  Before all the fancy graphics it was "Format>Units..." simple.  Now I did find the "AutoCAD classic" button and it's been my friend but...  frankly trying to follow the help file led me no where.  I still can't seem to locate much of anything under the new menu structure.is anyone else having this trouble?  Is there some sort of a quick tutorial on where stuff is?What happened to "Fit to gizmo"?  It was there in 2010.. now I use help and there's something I've never heard of that I don't really have the time to play with.WTF....   this stuff drives me crazy....I'm sure there are some great improvements and all but why do I have to go hunting for crap that I've known where is for years?

Two things can help you:
1) set [VAR]MENUBAR[/VAR]=1 for plain old menus
2) use the searchbox under the "scarlet A" to locate any command in the new UI

This is why learning the command aliases is so important. If you know the aliases, you can access every command from the command line and you don't have to worry about the changes they make to the interface. If you want to change the units, just type UNITS at the command line. But as Vladimir stated, setting MENUBAR to 1 will bring back the menu's.As for the "Fit to Gizmo" option, I'm not sure about that. I opened up the materials editor for the first time yesterday and I was totally lost. It's very different from 2010. You will just have to read through the help files like the rest of us.

try using autocad classic in workspace tool bar, or make your own workspace with that tool bar.
I will hope this can help you.
