Ive made a 3D shape consisting of arcs, broken circles and lines. I can't join it as a continuous line for the camera.Help be appreciated.uploads/213831/line_04.dwg

Hello 2JimB, I suppose that you want to elaborate a video with the ANIPATH command. You can't create a 3D polyline including anything else than lines, not arc or ellipses.Eventually see my file : CUBE_ANIPATH_02.dwg in the CAD/BIM Blocks library here in the site.It includes a 3D closed polyline that I use to move around 3D object for that ANIPATH command.Ask for move if needed.
Joseph thanks for your response, appreciated. Ill follow up on your link. Joseph can I do it with splines and then connect them as a poly... is that possible ?

Hello again, I have tried to elaborate a 3D polylines with arcs but whitout success.Have you already done some ANIPATH and tested all the options ?I don't know with splines and I will test soon because I'm interested.

Eventually do a test with my 3D closed polyline ( it was difficult to do it in some final version). When I want to show objects I use it.It will give you a complete turn horizontally and then a complete turn in a 45° trajectory.
Joseph... thanks for follow up.Yer I had ago this evening... I succeeded in doing a complex track 3D. It did run using the spline creation 1st , joined, then to Poly. However it only ran once ... And the line became invisible and I couldn't repeat it as I wanted to slow it down. There were some other issues I had relating to the camera but I don't know I may have f'd that up. But it did follow. The 360 degree track slow down I was trying to do was to establish that it was actually moving vertically I will give it another crack see if I can repeat what I did, if I have any further success I'll let you know.

Hello, when I do an ANIPATH as it take so much time I do a first try of a very short time just to see if everything is "inside", not too far or not centered, then I do the video full length, generally duration 2 minutes.
Joseph hi,Well I've just had another go. I've been successful. It does work.Ive attached the experiment its not worth uploading to the sight I'll do another exact path I want similar to my first but spline. You'll notice with the attached where the arch is it jumps ... probably too tight but the rest of the path it follows. anyway ... we can both make improvementsseems to follow track..., getting where we trying ... :)I've tried uploading the wmv but the site wont let me so my trial is attached.uploads/213831/camera_play.dwg
Joseph...This attachment is better. And good enough for me.Open file.In plan view (zoom out so you can see all the track)Under view - Go to motion path animation Camera (pick 'path') - click on trackTarget pick the little red box in center of the dwelling.Preview - view Finally Got it ... :)What I established is I ended up using 1 single spline then kept modifying in at front view and plan view. Once you get the hang of it its pretty quick.uploads/213831/camera_play02.dwg
If its any value to anyone their welcome to use it or upload it to the site. I don't want to be associated with the file though. If the user didn't want the camera to flip (as it does at the end) just shorten the node on the spline to top of the arc in front view.

Hello 2JimB, I will have to wait before going back to work to see this.

Hello 2Jimb, I took a quick look at your 3D file and made a video with your 3D line and mine. It's good but maybe my 3D polyline wouldn't be suitable for your objects as I'm also going under.
