I have a building with one slanted wall.  How do I get a 3D solid wall around the structure?  Also I have numberous divided walls in the structure.  How do I subtract the solid boxes to produce walls for the 3D image?

Post a drawing file so we have some idea of what you are dealing with. You're trying to create solid walls via subtraction?  Why don't you just draw the 2D plan view of the wall(s) and either extrude to the proper height or use the press/pull command to give them height?

Thanks for responding, John.  I don't remember how to attach a drawing to this forum.  Should I attach a dwg. or pdf?  Seeing the drawing would be easier.  Although we have changed some of the inside walls to rid the free standing divided walls.  But the problem is the outside slanted wall with the sliding doors.  Let me know how to attach and I'll get it in.  Thanks.

Your exterior walls are slanted and they have sliding doors in them?

Just one exterior wall is slanted, and, yes, it has 6 glass panels two of them are sliding doors.  How do I attach the plan to this forum?  Also, I tried the solid polyline but that is not working.K11T532011-11-28 20:52:13

Try clicking on the EDIT button for your last post.  At the next screen look for the File Upload icon. You tried the "solid polyline"?  I have no idea what that is.  Do you mean the "polysolid" command?

Sorry, I was out of town the last three days on a job.  I'll try the EDIT button and see if I can upload the plan.  Yes, I meant the "polysolid" command.  All I could get was just the free standing walls.  I cannot get them to connect to make a room.

On my edit I don't get the option to upload anything.K11T532011-12-06 21:49:54

Yeah, this site doesn't make it easy that's for sure.  Maybe it's intentional. When I click on EDIT and I'm taken to the next screen (Edit Post) there are two rows of icon buttons over the Message area.  Almost in the middle of the top row is an icon with a camera on it.  That one is for "image" upload.  "File upload" is the icon to the left of it which may or may not be a folder?  So small I can barely tell. The only other thing I could do to help would be to temporarily release my email address which I purposely don't display but in order to do this I have to know that you are going to be online since I'll leave it up (in my profile) for only 15 minutes. What state are you located in?  I am in Connecticut. One other option.  Some people who have had trouble doing a file upload to include with a message have had better luck uploading their drawings to the CAD Block area.  Now to me that just creates a lot of unnecessary clutter where it doesn't belong but it might be worth a shot as well.

Regarding connecting of walls.  Did you try to "union" them?
