I had a drawing  on thumb drive, and had white plot are, changed it to black  using the options commandHow  is the back ground outside the plot area color  changed from gray back to  black?

All background color options are available via Options > Display > Colors.  That's it. There are no other options available.

Options > Display > Color > sheet layout > paper background  u can change coluur what u want
