Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone knows how could a layer be assigned to a command, e.g. command cloud would be assigned to layer with the same name. (We are using CADS software with ACAD 2006 and the CADS commands have layers assigned to commands, for example any dimension command has layer DIM assigned to it).Thank you very much

There are several ways to do this.

actually,. I'm having difficulty to run the fly reactor. It doesn't seem to be working. I tried the samples as well as to add my lines, loaded the vlx, even restarted autocad but it is not working somehow. Any idea what can be the issue?

thank youps: I'm using Acad 2006 on Win XP

Well, AutoCAD 2006 is rather old and FLay was not tested in it but I think it should work. Please make sure that the VLX file is loaded (APPLOAD) and that the FLay.TAB file is located in AutoCAD support path.

Are there any FLay messages showing on your AutoCAD command line?

ok, made it working. The file vlx was loaded, but I had to manualy load the fly.tab using the fly! command as described in fly.txt. (I thought fly.tab would be loaded automatically as it is at the same loacation as the vlx)Anyway, let me thank you again, this will save me "few" clicks ;)

Yes, FLay.tab is loaded automatically on load of the application. But it must be located in the AutoCAD search path (otherwise FLay displays a warning "FLay.tab not found").
