Can anyone offer advice on how we could link two attributes on the same drawing ?
For example, if we have one drawing and we want say a drawing ref number in two places on that drawing. If we then update the master attribute we would like the second one to automatically update to the same value or ref number as the master we have just changed ?

Thanks

See the related tip 5319 for possible methods and a sample drawing.

Hi Vladimar,
Not quite what I am looking for I'm afraid.

What we have is one autocad drawing file, with two drawing sheets on the same model view.

Some of the information is the same on each drawing sheet, for example the client name and the job number.

At the moment, using attributes we have to input the client name twice, one for each sheet. Same for job number.

What we are after, is a way to input this information only once, with the second sheet automatically picking up the references from the first sheet.

There is maybe no way to do this.

Can anyone help ?

Edwin, can you elaborate?I'm wondering now if I'm not using the Sheet Set Manager to it's full extent, because I have the same issue as N2OME and I use the SSM.Thanks!!

Edwin,

Can you please confirm if the sheet set only works whilst using paper space ?

We normally only use model space.

Thanks

@N2OME yes, SSM only work for layout/paper space. If you use model space, you can create custom drawing properties then show the value using fields.@HAWDesigner you can place fields that show SSM properties, such as project information. the idea is not linking between attributes, but to make them show common properties. You can change the properties anytime, and the attributes will be updated automatically.
