Is it possible to open x-ray image in auto cad without using raster image option.If it is so,then how?or if u know any other software where i can perform certain functions like zooming,rotating,measuring the distance b/w a particular section..........please mention it.

What is the file format of the image (the extension)?

Raster images can be inserted as OLE or raster image Xref.
