Last Wednesday Autodesk UK hosted a Blogger Meetup event at the London Soho office. The social event was held to allow people to come and play with AutoCAD for Mac? and AutoCAD WS on the iPad live and see it for themselves before it ships this Fall. Some of the attendees: ?Andrew Handley of London Architectural firm Styles & Wood David Watson of Cadtutor.net Daniel Heselwood of Eat your Cad blog ?Mark Little of  Caducation.com ?Shaun Bryant of Not Just CAD and Caducation.com Tanya Weaver of Develop 3D Blog Everyone appeared to have a great time with beer and pizza available, but by far the most enjoyable items on the menu AutoCAD for Mac. Shaun Bryant was excited to see the Mac native version of AutoCAD. ?It was a blast watching Daniel Haslewood beating AutoCAD for Mac for well over an hour just grinning, and rarely coming up for a beer. Daniel was doing his best CAD Ninja moves to see how native AutoCAD for Mac was while retaining AutoCAD features and functionality. He also was testing the stability and logged one crash in the pre-release product and was so very proud to submit the CER back to the AutoCAD Team for them to investigate the crash cause. ?? I am sure more events will be hosted by the Autodesk EMEA Team in the future as it was a great evening talking, playing with upcoming products in a relaxed environment along with the Autodesk traditional beer & pizza provided.   More info on the products can be found at: AutoCAD for Mac http://www.autodesk.com/autocadformac ?AutoCAD WS ?http://butterfly.autodesk.com/mobile/   I want to sincerely thank everyone who participated and hope we can do it again real soon. Another big Thank You is definitely due to the Autodesk EMEA Autodesk Team who made this all happen, provided the office, beer, pizza, and great conversation and also to the AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD WS Teams for making the products a reality and delighting Mac and AutoCAD users.   If you would be interested in future Tweetups, Blogger Meetups, and of course customer meetups just let me know. They are a great relaxed way to just chat, socialize, explore technology, and geek out without any expectations or strings attached.   Cheers, Shaan PS: I tried to blog this post completely from my Mac but there is unfortunately no equal to Windows Live Writer for blog post writing and editing. I was trying MarsEdit but it was not close to Live Writer in terms of functionality, blog integration, or text and image formatting. Go to the original post...
