For those interested in cutting edge ideas, technology, and speakers the TED conference has been the source of a brain stimulating smorgasbord to feast on since its founding. The focus of TED is “T”echnology, “E”ntertainment, and “D”esign. As you may be aware Autodesk is passionate about all three of the focus points in TED but perhaps best known for the big “D” in Design. Autodesk is a sponsor of the TED 2011 conference and has exhibits this week at the event being held in Long Beach California. Autodesk has several cool exhibits from the Autodesk Gallery at One Market as well as technology demos like the Autodesk Labs Project Photofly custom setup where you can in one-click capture your head in 3D. Don’t worry it wont capture what you are thinking, just yet. Read more about the Photofly Project camera setup behind the scenes from my fellow Autodesk Labs geek Scott Sheppard on the It is Alive in the Lab blog.
