As I have mentioned in previous blog posts, I am one of about 40 Autodesk Gallery Ambassadors who conduct tours of our gallery at our One Market office in San Francisco. In addition to being a great place to physically visit, you can remain virtually in contact with the gallery through the miracle of social media: The Autodesk Gallery has its own Twitter account, @autodeskgallery, that any Twitter user can Follow. Tour guests can Check In to the Autodesk Gallery on Facebook using their mobile devices. Tour guests often tag Autodesk Gallery as the Place in Facebook status updates and photo posts. Tour guests sometimes post their pictures to the Autodesk Gallery Facebook Page after their tours. Any Facebook user can Like this page. Autodesk has been incorporated for 30 years, but the gallery is only about 3 years old. When the gallery first opened, there were about 7 tours a month. Now there are about 120 per month. All of this is made possible by the employees who volunteer as ambassadors and Corporate Events Specialist, Julia Papapietro, who coordinates all of the tours. Julia puts the "gal" in "gallery." Without her coordination, there would be no tours. Here are just some of the exhibits in the gallery: Nike: Past, Present, and Future of Product Design Parsons Brinckerhoff: Virtual Driving Simulator PiMobility: PiCycle The gallery at One Market is open to the public on Wednesdays from 12 pm to 5 pm, and admission is free. Visit us. For those can visit us, and even for those who can't, you can follow the Autodesk Gallery Twitter account and like the Facebook page to stay up to date with Autodesk Gallery news and events. Thanks to Senior Marketing Manager, Kimberly Whinna, for some of the content for this posting. Socializing is alive in the lab Go to the original post...
