Display full version of the post: Better search in the Block library

With the growing number of blocks available in the Block library (over 2.300 blocks) searching for relevant blocks became complicated. The search function was now updated - it uses a more intelligent mechanism for multi-word searches and the results list the most relevant blocks on top positions. We use a similar search engine as in the tips and trick database searches.
For more advanced searches you can also use the Advanced search function.

Example ("skoda fabia side"):
http://www.cadforum.cz/catalog_en/?q=skoda+fabia+side

Please use relevant keywords when uploading your blocks to the Catalog - other users will find your block much easier...

What part of the web are you referring to? Most pages and sections are available also in English.
Some block names in the Catalog are in other languages but you can navigate them visually or using keywords.

Search seems to work ok to me.  i was able to find what I was looking for.  It is also easy enough to browse by subject, then look at what's there.

  Hello Vladimir

Many member have right that don't understand your main language
I think the libraries should least in English and the CADFORUM Domain
should change from CZ to COM or any because more member aren't from Your Country we hope to change the extension of this forum in Europe and world.

This web site is available in 3 languages (on the same domain). The language of the main interface can be choosen from:
Czech: www.cadforum.cz/cz
English: www.cadforum.cz/enGerman: www.cadforum.cz/de

Please note that some of the site content is visitor-supplied (e.g. the forum and the block library) - so the site content partially depends on their spoken language. There is also the www.cadforum.eu domain pointing to this web site.

This was one of the options we have considered. But the functions neccessary to check the contents for security and size limits were too complicated.

The block library is intended for simple to use CAD block exchange. We always welcome CAD tip submissions which can individually handle more complicated scenarios - block attachments, illustrative animations, etc.
