Does binding drawings no longer allow you to update the X-Ref? I am working off my laptop and everytime I copy the drawings over the the work server I alwys have to reattach the drawings, it is time consuming. Is there a better solution than binding them?

Binding drawings together is a method usually used when a job is done and you want to archive the work. You have two choices when you bind drawings:1. To store the XREFs as separate files with the drawing; or2. To merge them altogether into the drawing.Binding is not something that is typically done while a project is still active. If you want to work in different locations it might be a better idea for you to eTransmit (ie, create a .zip file) the project for yourself and then unpack the XREFs and save them in a relative path. I'm going to assume that you will not be changing the XREFs, only the main file. So once you have the XREFs in two places, along with all of the other things the .zip will bring along for you, the only thing you'll be moving back and forth from that time forward will be your main work file(s).You may find this more efficient.Dave.
