Hi,
I hope someone will have an easy answer to my questions.
Here they are:

1. Is there a way I can see the attribute values of the blocks that have been inserted in my drawing without having to burst or explode them? I want to see them just temporarily while I edit the labels next to them so I can compare the values?

2. Is there a way when I click on a block to have it labelled with one of the attribute values?

I work in ACAD 2002.

Thank you very much.

I don't think there is a way to temporarily see an attribute.  It is either visible or invisible.

cant you copy the block, explode or burst that and then when finished with your look...delete...???

I just hoped that there is a variable that controls whether we can or can't see the value of the attributes. What about labeling blocks with certain values of the attributes? Is there a lisp for that?Thank you.

Fields might work but the version you are using is so old it does not have this feature.  Time to upgrade?

Yes, I first thought about the fields, but unfortunately our version doesn't support them.

At least I just found out that I can toggle on and off the visibility with the  ATTDISP and ATTMODE. That's all I can do, unfortunately, and no prospects of getting a newer version too...:-(

Thanks for the replies.

AutoCAD 2012 is the most current version.  You a few years overdue for an upgrade.  Take the wallet out dude!  LOL
