What website did you access for this download? What OS are you running?  Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?Did you temporarily disable the UAC during installation?

UAC = User Account Control.  It is a Windows feature. Are you running Vista or XP?Does your computer meet the specifications for running AutoCAD 2011 in the first place?I suppose you could try the REPAIR option.

If all else fails you may have to completely remove all things Autodesk from your system.  It sounds as if something may still be left that's causing you this trouble.  To be sure your system is clean go to the Autodesk AutoCAD Services and Support page >HERE< and follow the directions for removal very carefully and completely. Then try your installation again.Dave.

Yes, I checked before I installed the program that I had all of the system requirements. I've got windows 7. I originally started downloading AutoCAD 2013, and when that didn't work I tried AutoCAD 2011. Thanks for the advice, Dave. I'll try it.
