hi, i am trying to manipulate a mesh surface. i can press ctrl and click on multiple faces to select them, but when i drag the gizmo i only get the first surface i selected.i get the same problem with lines and vertices as well.there are some occasions when i manage to get them all to drag at once but when i hit enter the whole surface advances.i realize this may be into a question bomb but how do i go back one selection without exiting the command and starting over. i sometimes select a vertex or a line instead of the face i was aiming for.thanks.

Let me see if I understand you correctly. From the sounds of it you're asking about moving multiple mesh surfaces. Does 'manipulate' = [CMD]MOVE[/CMD]?If so, then as soon as you highlight (pick) the surfaces you want to manipulate, all you have to do is select (pick) any one of the grips and depress the Spacebar ONCE.NOTE: Depressing the Spacebar TWICE will rotate the objects, THREE times will SCALE the objects and FOUR times will MIRROR the objects.I'm not sure if that is what you're looking for, but it is all I could think of at the moment. I hope if anyone else has any ideas, they will chime in.Good Luck!!

Maybe an issue because your selecting a 'mesh' surface?Possible your UCS is not where you think it is...And to remove an enitity from your selection set, during *most* commands, Hold the 'shift' key down, then click unwanted object.Or maybe your problem is with your extrusion method...but like HAW said, are you trying to move an object, or create a 3D solid from a face, like i thought?
