Im a young Business Studies student about to graduate, and am thinking about getting qualified in autoCAD and going down that career route. Will I be able to get a decent design job without having an Engineering Degree? I realise it will obviously hold me back, but I am just curious to get an idea on what the industry is like? Will be based in Vancouver,Canada...if thats any help.Sorry if this in the wrong section of the forum. Thanks in advance!

I think it is possible to get a good CAD design career without an engineering degree.  But in the long run you may still want to pursue a degree just the same as it will open up more employment opportunities for you.
