I thought assemblies were specific to Inventor.  To my knowledge AutoCAD does not use/construct assemblies. It is possible to find the center of gravity of a 3Dsolid in AutoCAD using a custom lisp routine.  I've seen one or two around at various AutoCAD Help websites.

Hello, with your 3D solids you don't have to "union" them to read the properties of an assembly with the command "MASSPROP".
Select the various elements and read the properties of the assembly.
You will have the properties in the following sequence :
Mass : in your unit with a density of 1 ( x 7.85 for steel )
Volume : in your unit
Xxxxxxxx : external dimensions
CENTER OF GRAVITY : in your unit
etc...
Use the informations with your F1 button on your keyboard to analyse the informations that you get.
Beware of the units.
If you whant to get the inertias about X and Y, you will have to set an UCS position at the center of gravity before reading the values.
