Good day, I was wondering if maybe somebody knew of a trick that my boss has placed me in charge of figuring out.We have a dxf file containing all of the creeks in our province as 3D polylines.  My boss wants me to be able to click a few buttons and have them all color coded by average slope.Does anyone know of a LISP routine or trick for doing this?

That is a typical problem within C3D that can be done without LISP.  It involves creating a Slope Pattern style.

If the Help file doesn't do the trick for you, or someone here doesn't provide what you need, go directly to the Autodesk C3D Discussion board and repost the question.  You'll get an answer there almost right away.

Thanks for the response, Dave.I don't think I explained what I want to do clearly enough though.  I have a set of 3D polylines and I want to have them change color based on the average slope of the polylines themselves.  There is no grading or even a surface involved.I did manage to get it figured out using a different program but it was a lengthy process.

Getting the work out is always the first priority.

These are the problems that help us get better.  This one will be under your skin until you figure out the most efficient solution.  I'm glad you got it sorted out.
