Hi there,I'm new to Autocad and about to evaluate the basic features. Is there a way to connect entities with some sort of connectors (lines, etc.), as you know them from modelling applications like MS Visio. Of course I could draw a line on a certain "connections" layer, but what I need is that the line sticks at the entities and stretchs/shrinks itself when moving the connected entities.Peter

AutoCAD is not Viso and vice-versa.You would have to take a look at Parametric Constraints and see if that would be suitable or at Dynamic Blocks.

You have just described what a Coincident Geometric constraint is in AutoCAD (available in the full version only).

Look on the Parametric tab of the Ribbon in the Geometric panel for the Coincident contraint and play around with it.

Then play with the (extremely simple) demo file attached.  Pick either of the two lines and move them or move the point with the blue square and watch the rubber banding effect.  By your description this may be what you're looking for.

btw... if you don't see the blue square initially, click "Show All" in the Parametric > Geometric palette.heinsite2012-05-16 21:25:04
