whaddup guys!
Alright, I have this part file, apperently created by an old version of autocad in 3D. On my left side pallet or whatever ya call it, it only lists 'solid bodys' and 'base 1'. problem is when I click on 'front view', its all skewed off in space. How can I retrain the UCS to be right? Or can I?

I would have thought this to be easier but I see no one has posted it. So here is my take. You could insert the part into an assembly which would allow you to orientate it using the part origins and assembly origin planes and axis. Then start a new part and derive the assembly you just made, break the link from the assembly and then you basically have what you have now "a dummy body" in the correct orientation.

Thanks man, but I figured out a way, though not exactly perfect. I simply right click on the view cube and select 'set current view as front'. does the trick for assembly views, although when I go into sketch mode, its still messed up. Like you said, you'd think this would be easier to do, lol.
