I have a model which contains 3 different drawings, each with it's own title block. I'm using AutoCad LT 2004 and wondering how to insert each drawing into it's own layout tab. I havent done anything with layouts, paperspace, viewports etc. So this part is new to me. When I open the layout tab, it just shows the entire model space. I tried copying 1 drawing into a new layout, but still got everything. It's probably simple, but it's eluding me. Can someone give me a step by step procedure to follow? Thanks,Dave

Your model space contains three drawings then you'll need three layouts. In each layout you'll have one viewport.Make the viewport active then use the zoom/window command to zoom into your first drawing. Once you do that, check the viewport scale. It will probably be something out of the ordinary. At this point you have to decide whether or not the drawing needs to be to scale. If not then accept what you got and lock the display. If it does need to be to a particular scale you'll have to set it using the Zoom > Scale > nXP option. What type of drawings are these?Do you want them to be to scale or not?
