SO!

Has anybody stopped to pause their cursor over a dwg file in windows explorer?
And a little window pops up...telling you:

type:
date modified:
size:
created with:

Now, is it possible, to create ANOTHER field there, giving you a description field you could edit in auotcad, to anything you wanted?

Cause that would be TITS

Any ideas?
Comments?
No crazy stuff either, like custom LISP routines...JC...Yeah, thats you man LOL

It's not just dwg files... it's ALL files!  This is a Windows OS display feature.  If you want to know how to modify it to include additional items you'll have to hack Windows.  The one thing that you can add from your drawing file is your name.  Include that info in the DWGPROPS Summary tab, Author line.

Other than that, go for it... hacking Windows is a popular pasttime.  And it's why we all need virus protection software these days.

If those "guys" had been "gals" you probably would have known about all this in your first 5 minutes there.  In my experience gals tend to communicate better.
