Hello thereI am new to this software. Can you please tell me if it is possible to convert a 3d dwg terrain received from a surveyor as a DWG file into LandXMl file in civil 3d 2014?The intention is to import this file as a landxml into Revit Architecture 2014 to create a toposurface.Thank you in advance for taking time out to reply.

Hello there Thank you for having taken time to respond. Can you please expantiate more on your answer. I assumed I have to open the 3D dwg in Civil 3D first. Please can you go through the steps more in detail? The drawing in question is a dwg 3D model of a site received from a surveyor. I am sorry to be so ignorant. I have never used Civil 3D but I have an advanced knowledge of Autocad Architecture and Revit Architecture.

Well, Autocad Civil is a major software needing a long training road to be used, so please press F1, read about the above 3 commands (and thru the embedded tutorials) finally copy and paste 'em in the command prompt triggered by CTRL-9.
Good luck, sir.

Actually all I had to do was to type these commands and follow the prompts. I was able to export my landxml file easily. I need Civil 3D purely for creating this sort of file for terrains. Don't need to learn it now. I have access to tutorials and will learn it as soon as I have some time in my hand.
