Design Night, open to the general public, is an events program at the Autodesk Gallery. At each event, guests explore a different theme — such as biomimicry, light, or robotics — that challenges the conventionally narrow definition of design. The theme is reflected in all aspects of the event, from the activities guests enjoy to the food they eat to the music they hear. The result is a fun and fascinating venue for exploration, networking, and the exchange of ideas. Present On Thursday, April 3, 6-10 p.m., the Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco will host another Design Night: Found in Space, where we will explore the design's impact on space exploration. No longer the final frontier, it's the next frontier, with everything from 3D printing in zero gravity to space tourism promising to transform science fiction to soon-to-be fact. After all, how do you think your GPS works? And while we still may not have those wormhole super highways everyone was talking about, the lasting link between earth and space promises to be…um…out of this world.
