Display full version of the post: Dim angle
Greetings,I'm trying to utilize dimAligned to make an isometric dimension. But, when I pull the direction (30D or minus 30) the dimension pullsinto another angle. Almost like its locked on ortho at another angle. It there a varible that I need to change to get the dimension to pull the directionof my crosshairs?ThanksJP

_dimedit, oblique, and perhaps 120 as your degree value...dims should stretch on the ortho planes by default... if this doenst answer your question, could you expand your explanation.

your question****
Thanks for your reply,The angle I need is a iso dimension set at the isometric planeof the crosshairs. I'm setting my snap (crosshairs) in the isometricplane and using dimAligned to pick the extention points and when I pullthe iso direction (with ortho on) the dim doesn't stay in the plane butgoes and an angle away from the plane needed. There must be away to keep it in the plane your in .Hope this clears it up a little if not let me know.I have a file I can upload if possible.ThanksJP

Just to clarify; is this a 2D isometric? Or is it a 3D drawing in an isometric view?
Yes, 2D only. Its a piping isometric.Thanks
